ADA LOVELANCE
She was a mathematician and writer of
century XIX, she was considered the first programmer in history, Ada was born
on december 10, 1815 in London Inglaterra, daughter of Annabella Milbanke and
the poet Lord Byron, since a very young age Ada received math and science
lessons, her mother always gave her a strict education.
The first
steps towards programming
When she turned 18 Ada
began attending high society parties, at one of the parties she met the
mathematician Charles
Babbage who was the inventor of the programmable calculating machine, the invention
of Babbage excited Ada to think that one day not too distant machines will
change people lives. In 1842 Ada published a scientific article describing
Babbage's analytical machine, In the end Ada's notes were more famous than the
itself article, one of the most famous notes of the article refers to the
operation of what is known today as a computer algorithm and it was Ada who introduced that algorithm into Babbag's machine,
also it was her idea that a machine could be programmed and reprogrammed to
perform various functions and that it was capable of doing any task that could
be expressed through symbols.
A premature death
Unfortunately
Babbage was unable to convince the British government to finance the
construction of his machine.
After
Babbage's professional rejection, Ada Lovelace no longer worked. She died on
November 27, 1852 from uterine cancer. I was 36 years old. Ada's algorithm was
never implemented, it was not until 100 years later that an American engineer
designed a computer closely linked to Babbage's work.
